Malavika is a popular Tollywood playback singer known for her work in the Telugu film industry. She began her singing career with the song "Nuvvu nenu kalisunte" for the movie Gangotri. With her versatile voice, she has sung for around 500 movies to date and has received accolades, including Nandi Awards for Best Playback Singer in 2006 and 2011.
Malavika's talent was evident from a young age, and she was the winner of ETV Padutha Teeyaga as a child. She continues to showcase her singing abilities on shows like ETV Swarabhishekam and MAATV Super Singer series 7, 8, and 9.
Some of Malavika's hit songs include "Bommali" from the movie Billa, "Amma avani" from Rajanna, "Sunday Monday" from Khaleja, "Vennelaina cheekataina" from Prema Katta Chitram, and "Holessa" from Sri Ramadasu. Apart from Telugu, she has also lent her voice to songs in Kannada and Hindi. Her first song was actually an English song for the movie Rockford, followed by a Hindi song for Bollywood Calling.
Malavika received her initial training in music from her mother, who herself is a radio artist and singer. She then received classical training from Kum Mandapaka Sarada. She completed her schooling at Little Angels High School in MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam, where her mother taught music. After gaining popularity in the film industry, Malavika and her family relocated to Hyderabad.
Known for her distinctive voice and dedication, Malavika is highly regarded as a hard-working artist. Music directors have praised her for her cooperation and willingness to sing numerous times to achieve the desired result.
