Varun Grover is indeed an Indian writer, comedian, poet, and filmmaker. He was born on January 26, 1980, in Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh, India. His mother was a school teacher, and his father served as an army engineer. Grover belongs to a Punjabi family.
During his childhood, Grover lived in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and Sundernagar before settling in Lucknow during his adolescence. He pursued his higher education in civil engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) in Varanasi, from where he graduated in 2003.
Following his engineering degree, Varun Grover ventured into the field of writing, comedy, and filmmaking. He gained recognition as a talented lyricist and won the Best Lyricist award at the 63rd National Film Awards in 2015. He has also contributed to the entertainment industry as a poet and filmmaker.
Grover is notably known as the co-creator of "Aisi Taisi Democracy," a political satire show. Additionally, his debut feature film, titled "All India Rank," was the closing film at the 52nd International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).
