Rithvik Dhanjani is an Indian actor who is known for his work in Hindi television and web shows. He was born on November 5, 1988, in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, India. After completing his schooling in Dubai, he pursued acting, modeling, and hosting shows during his college days. He later moved to Mumbai and did an acting course from the Kishore Namit Kapoor Institute before entering the television industry.
Dhanjani made his acting debut in 2009 with a cameo in the TV show "Bandini." He then appeared in supporting roles in shows like "Bairi Piya" and "Tere Liye." He gained wider recognition with his portrayal of Jay Khurana, the antagonist, in the show "Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani" from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, he made his film debut with the movie "Jo Hum Chahein," but it failed to make an impact.
His breakthrough role came with the TV show "Pavitra Rishta" in which he played the character of Arjun Digvijay Kirloskar from 2011 to 2014. Dhanjani won an Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the show. He went on to host several shows, including "India's Best Dramebaaz," "Yeh Hai Aashiqui," "Super Dancer," "India's Best Dramebaaz," and "So You Think You Can Dance." He also participated in reality shows like "Nach Baliye 6" and "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi."
Dhanjani made his web debut with the series "I Don't Watch TV" in 2016 and has been part of successful web series like "XXX" and "Cartel." He has won reality shows like "Nach Baliye 6" with his former partner Asha Negi and "I Can Do That."
In his personal life, Dhanjani was in a long-term relationship with actress Asha Negi, whom he met on the set of "Pavitra Rishta." However, they broke up in May 2020 after dating for seven years.
Apart from his acting career, Dhanjani has been involved in various off-screen activities. He has participated in charity projects and ranked in lists like Eastern Eye's 50 Sexiest Asian Men and Times of India's Most Desirable Men on TV. He is also a brand endorser for companies like Vivo and has been featured in ad films and magazine covers.
