Prashanthini is an Indian playback singer who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. She is the daughter of Malaysia Vasudevan, a renowned playback singer, and the sister of Yugendran.

Prashanthini made her debut as a playback singer in the movie "12B" with music composed by Harris Jayaraj. However, she took a hiatus after that song and made a comeback in the film "Veyyil," which had music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Her breakthrough came with the song "Mundhinam Parthene" from the movie "Varanam Aayiram," composed by Harris Jayaraj. This song catapulted her to fame, and she started receiving offers from various composers.

Prashanthini has since collaborated with many music directors and has sung popular songs like "Ayyayo" from "Aadukalam," "Lolita" from "Engeyum Kaadhal," "Enge En Idhayam" from "Kandaen," and "Ennamo Yedho" from "Ko." These songs have become favorites among listeners, particularly the youth, and are frequently played on FM radio stations. On a personal note, Prashanthini was born on September 28, 1983. She completed her Bachelor of Computer Application degree. She married Premnath in 2008, and the couple has a son named Rithvik.
