Nihira Joshi, born on December 10, 1986, is an Indian singer known for her versatile singing skills. She gained recognition as a finalist in the singing reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005," where she achieved 5th place with public votes. Nihira is also a member of Ismail Darbar's "Yalgar Ho" Gharana.
Nihira Joshi is a graduate from Mithibai College in Mumbai. Her playback singing career includes notable songs such as "Dhadak Dhadak" from the film "Bunty Aur Babli," where she collaborated with Sunidhi Chauhan and Udit Narayan. She has also sung "Sabse Alag" from the film "Alag," "Raat Kahegi Daastan" from the film "88 Antop Hill," "Mera Dil" and "Babuji Dheere" from the film "Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love," and "Tan Man" from the film "Marigold." Nihira has lent her voice to the title song of the Zee TV serial "Kasamh Se" and the Radio City theme song alongside playback singer Shaan.
Notably, Nihira Joshi is the only female singer in the entire album of "Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love" who sings two songs. She collaborated with Shaan on the sugar-coated love song "Mera Dil" and also sang the re-arranged version of the classic "Babuji Dheere Chalna" originally sung by Geeta Dutt.
Apart from her Bollywood ventures, Nihira has also contributed her voice to Marathi movies such as "Pailteer," "Amhi Satpute," and "Tula Shikaveen Changla Dhada." She has appeared on television, singing the title song of the serial "Kasamh Se" and providing background vocals for various shows on Zee TV.
