Beginning with his 11-year tenure in the Indian Army, Capt. Raghu Raman served in challenging assignments. He participated in operations in Punjab, served in the Siachen Glacier (the highest battlefield in the world), and contributed as a UN Peace Keeper in war-torn Angola. His final role in the army was as an instructor at the prestigious School of Armoured Warfare, where he imparted leadership and combat tactics to young officers.
In 1998, Capt. Raghu Raman transitioned to the Mahindra Group, a prominent conglomerate, where he assumed leadership positions in different companies. He started as the CEO of FirstChoice and then went on to become the CEO of MahindraSSG. Finally, he served as the CEO of a joint venture between BAE and Mahindra.
In 2009, Capt. Raghu Raman was handpicked by the Indian government to lead and establish the National Intelligence Grid. This significant initiative was launched after the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, with the aim of strengthening national security and intelligence capabilities. As the CEO of this ambitious project, Capt. Raghu Raman played a crucial role in its creation.

He serves as a guest faculty in leading business schools, where he imparts lessons on leadership, change management, strategy, and persuasion.
