Cheteshwar Arvind Pujara, born on January 25, 1988, is a notable Indian cricketer and the captain of Sussex County Cricket Club in the County Championship. He represents Saurashtra in Indian domestic cricket and is renowned for his disciplined batting style, making him a stalwart of the Indian Test team for over a decade. Pujara played a pivotal role in India's historic Test series win in Australia.
Debuting for Saurashtra in December 2005, Pujara made his Test debut in October 2010. As of May 9, 2021, he was ranked 14th in the ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen with 697 points. He also participated in 5 ODIs for India.
Known for his sound technique and temperament, Pujara's Test comeback came in August 2012 against New Zealand, where he scored a century.
