Eswar was raised in Theni, a town in Tamil Nadu, where he completed his schooling. After completing his schooling, he pursued a diploma in automobile engineering. During his college days, he developed a keen interest in photography, which eventually paved the way for his career in cinematography.

Eswar's talent and passion for photography were recognized when he received a Kodak Award for his work in street photography. This recognition further fueled his desire to pursue a career in the field of cinematography.

After spending a significant portion of his early life in Theni, Eswar eventually moved to Chennai, the hub of the Tamil film industry, to further his career and explore opportunities in the world of cinema.
