Samiksha Singh, also known mononymously as Sameksha, is a talented Indian actress, film director, and producer who has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry.
Hailing from Chandigarh, Samiksha Singh was born on 8 October 1985. Her journey in the entertainment world began when she ventured into acting in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Hindi, and Kannada. She started her career with the Telugu film "143" in 2004, directed by Puri Jagannadh. She further showcased her versatility by starring in the Tamil film "Arinthum Ariyamalum" in 2005.
Her acting skills led her to earn acclaim and recognition in the Punjabi film industry. Her role in the 2014 drama "Fateh" garnered her the Balraj Sahni Honour Award, highlighting her contributions to Punjabi cinema. Her performance in "Vaapsi" (2016) was critically praised at various film festivals.
Samiksha's foray into television was marked by her appearance in Sahara One's "Zaara – Pyaar ki Saugat," where she portrayed the titular role. She further demonstrated her acting prowess in soap operas like "Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli" and crime thrillers such as "Arjun" and "P.O.W.- Bandi Yuddh Ke."
One of her notable television roles was as Olympias in Sony TV's historical drama "Porus" (2017-2018), where she acted alongside a talented ensemble cast. She also appeared in the Star Plus sitcom "Khichdi Returns" (2018), portraying the character Parminder. Her versatility extended to Colors TV's "Tantra" (2018-2019), where she played the role of Saudamini.
In 2022, Samiksha and her husband, Shael Oswal, stepped into film production with the movie "Max, Min and Meowzaki" under their production house SSO Productions.
