Riya Deepsi is an Indian actress, model, and former theatre artist who has made her mark in both the television and film industries.
Her journey into the entertainment world began in the realm of theatre. Riya Deepsi made her television debut in 2013 at the age of 17 with the iconic series "Mahabharat," where she portrayed the character of blindfolded queen Gandhari. Prior to "Mahabharat," she also had a brief uncredited role in "Mata Ki Chowki."
Following her television debut, she appeared in various TV shows in supporting and parallel lead roles. Notable among these were her appearances in "Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap," "Razia Sultan," and "Begusarai." She also took part in the celebrity sports reality television show, Box Cricket League.
A significant milestone in her career came from 2017 to 2018 when Riya Deepsi played the parallel lead role of Princess Barsine, the second wife of Alexander the Great, in the historical drama series "Porus."
In 2018, Riya Deepsi made her foray into Bollywood with the film "Bhaagte Raho," directed by Praful D.S. Tiwari. She played the lead role of Gungun in the film.
Further showcasing her versatility, she appeared in an episodic role in the YouTube web series "Be Safe" in 2019, and in 2020, she took on the supporting role of Roma in the ALTBalaji original web series "It Happened in Calcutta."
