Hardavinder Singh Sandhu, better known as Harrdy Sandhu, is an Indian singer, actor, and former cricketer who primarily works in Punjabi and Hindi films. He gained popularity with his songs "Soch" and "Joker," both written by Jaani and composed by B Praak. Sandhu made his acting debut in the Punjabi film "Yaaran Da Katchup" in 2014.
Sandhu started his career as a cricketer, playing as a fast bowler for over a decade. However, a severe elbow injury forced him to give up the game in 2007. He then shifted his focus to singing and released his first album titled "This is Harrdy Sandhu" in 2011, which included the song "Tequilla Shot." Although the album didn't perform well, he continued his musical journey and collaborated with lyricist Jaani and music director B Praak for the song "Soch," released in 2013.
Sandhu gained significant recognition with hit tracks like "Backbone," "Horn Blow," and "Yaar Ni Milya," which established him as a popular singer. He further achieved success with songs like "Naah" featuring Nora Fatehi and "Kya Baat Ay." Many of his tracks have garnered hundreds of millions of views on YouTube.
In 2021, Sandhu made his Hindi film debut with the sports-drama film "83," directed by Kabir Khan, based on India's victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He portrayed the role of former Team India fast bowler Madan Lal in the film. He also released the single "Bijlee Bijlee" in 2021, which became viral on Instagram reels.
Sandhu's talent and popularity have led to collaborations with renowned artists in the industry. He is married to Zenith Sandhu, who also appeared in his song "Backbone." In 2022, he became the brand ambassador for Puma. Harrdy Sandhu continues to be a prominent figure in the Punjabi and Hindi music and film industry, delivering hit songs and entertaining audiences with his acting skills.
