Early Life: BK Shivani's parents became followers of the Brahma Kumaris when she was a child. She began attending meetings in her early twenties. She pursued her education in electronics engineering at Savitribai Phule Pune University, where she achieved the academic gold medal. She later completed a master's degree in computer engineering from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology. Initially, she worked backstage during the production of Brahma Kumaris television presentations in Delhi, where senior teachers recorded their teachings. In 2007, she was asked to start answering viewers' queries herself due to the unavailability of other teachers.
Television Series and Book: In 2007, a television series titled "Awakening with Brahma Kumaris" was produced for the Aastha channel. BK Shivani was interviewed by co-host Kanu Priya in the series. Her conversations with Suresh Oberoi in the TV series were adapted into the book "Happiness Unlimited: Awakening With Brahma Kumaris," which was published in 2015.
Public Engagements: BK Shivani travels in India and abroad, participating in various charitable events.
