Sushant Singh, born on March 9, 1972, is an Indian character actor, television actor, author, and presenter who is known for his work in Hindi cinema and Telugu cinema. He made his debut on the silver screen in 1998 with Ram Gopal Varma's film "Satya."
Sushant Singh gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of slain bandit Durgaa Narayan Chaudhary in the film "Jungle" (2000). His performance in the negative role earned him the IIFA Award and Zee Cine Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role.
He went on to appear in successful period dramas such as "Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar" and "The Legend of Bhagat Singh," which helped establish his presence in Bollywood. In addition to Hindi films, Sushant Singh has also acted in Telugu films.
Sushant Singh gained further recognition as the host of the crime show "Savdhaan India," which was broadcast on Life OK and STAR Bharat. He served as the Honorary Secretary of CINTAA (Cine and Television Artists Association) until May 2020, after which he resigned due to personal reasons.
Apart from his acting career, Sushant Singh has co-authored the book "Queens of Crime" with Kulpreet Yadav.
