He received his early musical training in classical vocals from Prayag Sangeet Samiti and completed his studies in 2005. In 2006, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in music.

Brijesh Shandilya's musical journey began with a focus on Indian classical music, and he also developed skills in playing instruments like tabla, guitar, and harmonium. His versatility extends to various genres, including new-age Indian classical music and Bollywood music.

One of his notable Bollywood songs is the title track from the movie "Golmaal Again" (2017), which gained popularity. Another hit song in his repertoire is "Banno" from the film "Tanu Weds Manu: Returns" (2015). In 2016, he lent his voice to the title song "Sarrainodu" for the film of the same name. In 2008, he sang "Hooriyaan" for the movie "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!". In 2013, he contributed to the song "Fauji" in the film "War Chhod Na Yaar". In 2015, he delivered the track "Mera Nachan Nu" for the movie "Airlift".
