Vandana Srinivasan is an Indian playback singer known for her work in the South Indian film industry, particularly in Kollywood (Tamil cinema). She has also established herself as an independent singer.
Vandana's musical journey began at a young age when she started training in Carnatic Classical music under her guru, Mrs. Seetha Krishnan. She continued her musical education in Hindustani Classical music under the guidance of her guru, Mrs. Tanushree Saha, while pursuing a degree in Psychology at Women's Christian College (University of Madras) in Chennai. Later, she moved to London to pursue a postgraduate degree in Organizational & Social Psychology from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
During her time in London, Vandana was exposed to various musical influences and developed an interest in exploring Bangla music. After returning to Chennai in 2011, she established herself as an independent musician and playback singer in the film industry. Her versatile singing style and ability to adapt to different genres have garnered her recognition and opportunities in the industry.
In 2017, Vandana gave a TEDx talk on the life of a musician, sharing her experiences and insights. She is also actively involved in collaborations through her initiative called Musicalorie Productions, where she works with different artists on creative projects.
Outside of her musical career, Vandana is married to Anand Pattathil, a businessman, and they are settled in Chennai. Together, they run an online boutique called anastoriesonline, which showcases their creative endeavors.
