Shibani Kashyap is an Indian singer known for her work in the Bollywood film industry. She gained fame for singing the signature tune of the AIR FM channel of All India Radio and Amul India. Kashyap specializes in a blend of Sufi and Western music.
Born in Delhi, India, Shibani Kashyap is a graduate in English literature from the University of Delhi. She has a background in both Western and Indian classical music. She was a member of the band Black Slade in Delhi before gaining national recognition for her debut pop album, "Ho Gayi Hai Mohabbat" in 1998, for which she won a Channel V award.
Kashyap has composed advertisement jingles for Amul India and the Subah Savere show on Doordarshan. She has performed live shows around the world and represented India at the annual international music festival Azia Dauysy held in Kazakhstan in 1999. She has also released a Sufi album called "Nagmagee" in 2000.
In addition to her singing career, Shibani Kashyap has ventured into acting. She made her acting debut in the Star Plus TV show "Veera" as the musician Megha. She has also acted in the film "Ranviir The Marshal" (2015) and sang a special number for it.
Kashyap has received accolades for her work, including winning the Best Female Pop Singer award for her album "Nazakat" at the 2005 Sangeet Awards in San Francisco.
