Advait Chandan is an Indian film director known for his work in Hindi cinema. He made his directorial debut in 2017 with the film "Secret Superstar."
Advait began his career in the film industry in 2007 as the third assistant director and assistant production manager for the film "Taare Zameen Par," directed by Aamir Khan. He also worked with Aamir Khan as the casting director and post-production supervisor for Kiran Rao's film "Dhobi Ghat."
After gaining experience in various roles in the industry, Advait finally stepped into the director's chair with "Secret Superstar" in 2017. The film featured Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim in the lead roles, and Advait also wrote the screenplay for the film. "Secret Superstar" became a huge success at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2017 and the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, behind only Aamir Khan's "Dangal." It also ranks as the third-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
Advait's most recent directorial venture is the film "Lal Singh Chaddha," starring Aamir Khan, which was released on August 11, 2022. The film is an official adaptation of the Hollywood film "Forrest Gump" and has garnered significant attention and anticipation among audiences.
