Cinematography
Nirav Shah is an Indian cinematographer known for his work in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam cinema. He started his career as an assistant to renowned cinematographers and worked on various television advertisements, music videos, and short films before becoming an independent cinematographer.
Shah made his debut as a cinematographer in the 2004 Hindi film "Paisa Vasool" and gained recognition for his work in the blockbuster film "Dhoom" (2004). His success in Hindi cinema led him to receive offers from the Tamil film industry. He collaborated with director Vishnuvardhan for several films, including "Pattiyal" (2005), "Arinthum Ariyamalum" (2005), "Billa" (2007), and "Sarvam" (2008), earning critical acclaim for his cinematography.
In addition to Tamil and Hindi films, Shah has also worked on movies like "Banaras" (2006), the sequel to "Dhoom" (2006), "Pokkiri" (2007), "Oram Po" (2007), "Wanted" (2009), and "Madrasapattinam" (2010).
Apart from his cinematography work, Shah has ventured into film direction. He was set to direct a film produced by actor Arya and starring Arya's brother Sathya. He is also involved in building India's largest film studio located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Shah's talent and contributions to cinematography have been recognized with nominations at the National Awards for films like "Banaras," "Pattiyal," and "Dhoom 2." He has also won the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Cinematographer for his work in "Billa."
