Yogendra Tiku is an Indian actor known for his work in film, television, and stage. He was born on July 25 and was raised in Prayagraj (formerly known as Allahabad), India. Tiku has had a successful career in the entertainment industry, which includes theater plays, TV serials, and Bollywood movies.
Tiku's involvement with theater began in his childhood with the theater group "Prayag Rang Manch" in Allahabad. He performed in various productions such as "Bahut Bada Sawaal," "Panchi Aise Aate Hain," "Khamosh Adalat Jari Hai," and "Andher Nagri Chaupat Raja." Afterward, he moved to Nairobi, Kenya, where he spent eight years acting in Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati plays. During his time in Nairobi, he joined an English theater group called Phoenix Players and acted in productions such as "The Taming of the Shrew," "Moon On The Rainbow Shawl," and "The Noble Spaniard."
Upon returning from Nairobi, Tiku continued his involvement in theater and appeared in plays like "Omar Khayyam" with DAT and later plays like "ILA" and "Rang Bhoomi." His passion for Indian classical music led him to attend Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya in Ahmedabad, where he learned under the guidance of renowned guru and singer Smt. Saroj Gundani. This training in music provided him an additional advantage in his career, and he has sung many jingles in both Indian and Swahili languages. Tiku has also composed jingles for various products.
In addition to his theater and music endeavors, Tiku is recognized as an "A" grade Drama Voice of All India Radio (AIR). He has acted in several plays broadcast by AIR and continues to do so.
Tiku has also worked as a model for companies such as Max New York Life Insurance, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Indicom Walky, Bharat Matrimony, Britannia Milk Products, Fortune Rice Bran Oil, Coca-Cola, and Amazon. Some of his TV commercials can be found on YouTube.
