Born in Nainital, Gopal completed his high school education there and later graduated with a B.Sc. in Chemistry. His passion for the arts led him to enroll in the prestigious National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi, where he received comprehensive training in acting and explored diverse genres, including Shakespearean Italian and Parsi theater, under the guidance of his favorite director, B.V. Karanth.
After completing his acting course, Gopal Datt moved to Mumbai from Delhi, where he got his breakthrough in "Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai" (2001). His versatile talent and comedic timing made him a sought-after actor in both film and web series productions. He has been actively involved with TVF (The Viral Fever) for a long time, portraying significant roles in projects like Arre's "Official Chukyagiri" and Voot's "Badman." Gopal is especially known for his comedic roles in AIB (All India Bakchod) videos.
