Ankit Gera is an Indian actor known for his roles in various television soaps. He gained recognition for his performances and also appeared as a contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss 9.

Ankit completed his studies in Delhi before entering the entertainment industry. He made his television debut with the romantic comedy series Mahi Way on Sony Entertainment Television. His breakthrough role came in the television show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya in 2009, where he portrayed the character of Adarsh Saxena until 2011.

In 2012, Ankit landed his first lead role in Zee TV's soap opera Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, where he played the character of Mayank Garg opposite Roopal Tyagi. The show garnered him critical acclaim and multiple nominations. The series concluded in 2015.

Ankit Gera participated in the reality game show Killer Karaoke Atka Toh Latkah in 2015. He also appeared in the fantasy action series Maharakshak: Devi as Bhasmasur on Zee TV.

In 2015, Ankit entered the Bigg Boss house as a celebrity contestant in the show's ninth season. However, he was evicted on Day 7 of the competition.

Throughout his career, Ankit has made guest appearances in various shows, including Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Santoshi Maa. In March 2017, he took on the lead role in the TV series Agniphera alongside Yukti Kapoor and Simraan Kaur. He portrayed the character of Anurag Singh, an MBA graduate. However, he left the show in 2018 after his character's death.

In his personal life, Ankit Gera has been in relationships with several actresses, including Adaa Khan and Roopal Tyagi. In 2019, he began dating Sara Khan, with whom he did a guest appearance in Santoshi Maa
