Vaishnavi Dhanraj is an Indian television and film actress known for her versatile performances. She made her acting debut in 2008 with a cameo in the popular TV show "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" and later gained recognition for her role as Inspector Tasha in Sony Entertainment Television's "C.I.D." Her portrayal of the gun-toting detective earned her popularity and she performed all her stunts herself, refusing to use stunt doubles.
Vaishnavi's breakthrough role came in the show "Na Aana Is Des Laado" where she played the character of Jhanvi, a feminist fighting for women's empowerment in rural India. She showcased her acting skills and commitment to the role, and the show focused on the issue of female foeticide.
After a brief break following her marriage, Vaishnavi returned to television with "Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi" and played the character of Meera Mathur, a calm and composed businesswoman.
