Sumona Chakravarti is an Indian film and television actress who has made a name for herself through her notable roles in various shows. She began her acting career at a young age of 11, making her debut in the film "Mann" in 1999, alongside Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala. While she appeared in several television shows in the following years, her breakthrough came in 2011 with the role of Natasha in the popular series "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain," produced by Balaji Telefilms.
In 2012, Sumona teamed up with Kapil Sharma for the comedy show "Kahani Comedy Circus Ki" on Sony TV, and the duo emerged as the winners. This marked the beginning of her professional partnership with Kapil Sharma. From 2013 to 2016, she portrayed the character of Manju Sharma, Kapil Sharma's wife, in the immensely popular show "Comedy Nights with Kapil." She continued her association with Kapil Sharma in 2016 with the launch of "The Kapil Sharma Show" on Sony TV, where she played the role of Sarla Gulati, a girl deeply in love with her neighbor Kapil. The show returned for a second season in 2018, with Sumona portraying the character of Bhuri.
Apart from her television work, Sumona Chakravarti has also been involved in travel shows such as "Dubai Diaries" and "Swiss Made Adventures" on NDTV Good Times. While she hosted "Dubai Diaries," she participated as a seeker of adventure in Switzerland in "Swiss Made Adventures."
