Sonal Jha is an Indian film and television actress who was born on July 29, 1971. She has gained recognition for her roles in various films and TV serials. Some of her notable film credits include "Lipstick Under My Burkha," "3 Storeys," "Chillar Party," and a Bhojpuri film in which she played the mother of Bahubali.
Before entering the film and television industry, Sonal Jha became a member of the Ekjute Theater Group. Under the guidance of renowned personalities like Nadira Babbar, she honed her acting skills and performed in numerous plays across India.
One of her breakthrough roles came with the character of Irawati in the popular Indian soap opera "Balika Vadhu." Her portrayal of a sensitive and charming mother in the series made her a household name. She also played significant roles in other TV shows such as "Sapno Ke Bhanwer Main" and "Na Aana Is Des Laado."
Sonal Jha's talent extends beyond mainstream cinema, and she has also ventured into short films. Her short film titled "MAD" was recognized as a Perfect 10 winner at The Mumbai Film Festival.
