Smriti Kalra is an Indian actress and model who has gained recognition in the television and film industry. She first gained attention for her role as Simmi in the TV series "12/24 Karol Bagh" on Zee TV. However, she rose to fame with her portrayal of Suvreen in Channel V's show "Suvreen Guggal – Topper of The Year." She also appeared in the show "Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara" as Ahana on StarPlus. In addition to her television work, she made her film debut in "Cash," which was released on Disney+ Hotstar.
Kalra's career includes diverse roles in various projects. In 2014, she played the critically acclaimed role of Neha in the show "Itti Si Khushi" on Sony TV. She also ventured into hosting and co-hosted the fifth season of the show "Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya" alongside Parth Samthaan on Zing TV. In 2017, she worked on the short film "Cup of Tea," which received recognition at numerous international film festivals and won several awards.
In the same year, Kalra appeared opposite Sanjay Kapoor in the television series "Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara," which revolved around modern-age romance. She showcased her talent further by co-directing the award-winning short film "Ambu" in 2019, where she portrayed both a man and a woman. The film was part of the 10 best 48 Hour Film Project films contingent that went to Filmapalooza 2019 in Orlando.
In 2020, she was seen in the short film "Unlocked: The Stranger," which was the first of a series of five short films created during the COVID-19 lockdown. The film was written and directed by Abhijit Das.
