Shubhangi Atre, born on April 11, 1981, is an Indian television actress known for her roles in popular shows. She made her acting debut in Ekta Kapoor's "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" where she portrayed the character Palchinn Basu. Subsequently, she gained recognition and awards for her performances in shows like "Kasturi" (2007-2009), "Do Hanson Ka Jodaa" (2009-2010), and "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!" (2016-present).
Shubhangi Atre hails from Indore and holds an MBA degree. Before entering the television industry, she appeared in a regional shampoo brand's print advertisement. Her acting career began in 2006 when Ekta Kapoor offered her a role in "Kasautii Zindagii Kay." She then went on to play the lead role in "Kasturi" and a negative character in "Havan."
In 2013, Shubhangi Atre replaced Shilpa Shinde in the popular sitcom "Chidiya Ghar" and coincidentally replaced her again in April 2016 as Angoori Tiwari in "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!" on &TV. She also portrayed the role of Devsena in "Adhuri Kahaani Hamari" the same year. Her portrayal of Angoori Tiwari in "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!" made her a household name.
There were allegations made by Shilpa Shinde, the previous Angoori, that Atre was copying her. However, Atre clarified that she was adopting the mannerisms of the character, not copying Shinde. She received mixed reviews for her portrayal but was praised by The Times of India for her work.
In her personal life, Shubhangi Atre married Peeyush Poorey in 2003 and they have a daughter together. However, in 2022, they separated due to differences. Atre is a music lover and a fan of Salman Khan. Her catchphrase "Sahi Pakade Hain" from "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!" became popular
