Sameera Reddy is an Indian retired actress who is known for her work in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films. She was born on December 14, 1978, in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra. Her father is Telugu, and her mother is a Mangalorean Konkani. Sameera Reddy made her film debut in 2002 with the Hindi film "Maine Dil Tujhko Diya."

Some of her notable films include "Darna Mana Hai" (2003), "Musafir" (2004), "Jai Chiranjeeva" (2005), "Taxi Number 9211" (2006), "Ashok" (2006), "Race" (2008), "Varanam Aayiram" (2008), "De Dana Dan" (2009), "Aakrosh" (2010), "Vettai" (2012), and "Tezz" (2012).

Sameera Reddy has described herself as a "tomboy" and felt like the "ugly duckling" in her family while growing up. She appeared in a music video for ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas's song "Aur Aahista" in 1997. Although she was initially supposed to make her debut in the Tamil film "Citizen," it did not materialize.

She gained a significant fan base in South India after her performance in the film "Varanam Aayiram." Sameera Reddy holds the distinction of being the first Indian actress to have her own video game, called "Sameera the Street Fighter."

In her personal life, Sameera Reddy married entrepreneur Akshai Varde on January 21, 2014, in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony. They have a son and a daughter. Sameera Reddy is a fan of American talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey and had the opportunity to meet her and present her with a saree during Winfrey's visit to India.
