PlayBack Singer Male
Mohammad Irfan is an Indian playback singer who gained recognition in the Bollywood music industry. He came to the attention of veteran singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam during a concert in Hyderabad, who recommended him to renowned composer A.R. Rahman. This led to Irfan providing background vocals for the song "Behene De" in the 2010 film Raavan, alongside Karthik. The track became a chart-topper and received positive reviews.
In the same year, Irfan recorded two songs for Mithoon's Lamhaa, titled "Salaam Zindagi" and "Rehmat Zara," with the latter earning him the Best Male Singer Debut award. He also collaborated with various music directors such as Sajid–Wajid, Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Bros Anjjan, and Jeet Ganguly.
One of Irfan's notable songs is "Phir Mohabbat," performed alongside Arijit Singh and Saim Bhat for the 2011 film Murder 2. The song achieved commercial success and received significant radio airplay. However, it was his song "Dil Sambhal Ja Zara" from Murder 2 that truly established him as a singer.
In 2014, Irfan's notable songs included "Baarish" from Yaariyan, "Muskurane" from Citylights, "Banjaara" from Ek Villain, "Dard Dilo Ke" from The Xpose, and "Tu Hi Tu" from Kick. The song "Banjaara" composed by Mithoon Sharma was particularly successful.
