Khesari Lal Yadav (born Shatrughan Kumar Yadav on 15 March 1986) is a celebrated Indian actor, singer, dancer, and model, best known for his remarkable contribution to Bhojpuri cinema. Fondly called KLY, he has acted in over 70 films—including one Bollywood project—and lent his voice to more than 5,000 songs across Bhojpuri, Hindi, Awadhi, and Haryanvi languages.
Hailing from Chhapra, Bihar, Khesari began his musical journey in the late 2000s before making his acting debut in Saajan Chale Sasural (2011), which catapulted him into stardom. His Bollywood debut as a playback singer came in 2014 with “AK-47” from Koyelaanchal. Over the years, he has earned numerous accolades, including the Best Popular Actor award at the 2016 Bhojpuri Film Awards and multiple honors at the Sabrang Film Awards for both acting and playback singing.
