Jeet Gannguli, born as Chandrajeet Ganguly on May 24, 1977, is an Indian score composer and playback singer known for his work in Bengali and Hindi movies. He hails from a Bengali Brahmin family and was introduced to the world of music at a very young age. He studied at Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School and later graduated from the University of Calcutta.
Jeet Gannguli received his training in Indian classical music from his father, Kali Ganguly, and his father's sister, Shibani Roychowdhury. Additionally, he also studied western classical music, jazz, and rock under jazz guitarist Carlton Kitto.
His breakthrough in the film industry came when director Sanjay Gadhvi signed him, along with Pritam, to compose the music for the film "Tere Liye." Subsequently, they collaborated on the music for Yash Raj Films' "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" in 2002.
Following his successful ventures in Hindi cinema, Jeet Gannguli began scoring music for both Hindi and Bengali films, as well as TV serials and jingles. He has composed numerous songs for popular Hindi movies such as "Aashiqui 2," "Khamoshiyan," "Hamari Adhuri Kahani," "Rustom," "Raaz Reboot," and many more, many of which have become chartbusters.
Jeet Gannguli's melodious compositions and soulful tunes have garnered him a significant fan following and acclaim in the music industry.
