Gurdas Maan is a renowned Indian playback singer, songwriter, and actor known for his contributions to Punjabi and Hindi music and films. He rose to national prominence in 1980 with the release of his song "Dil Da Mamla Hai." Since then, he has recorded more than 34 albums and written over 305 songs. In 2015, he collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh on the song "Ki Banu Dunia Da" for MTV Coke Studio India, which was featured in Season 4, Episode 5.
Gurdas Maan was born in Giddarbaha, Punjab to parents Gurdev Singh and Tej Kaur. He completed his schooling in Giddarbaha and obtained his graduation degree from DAV College, Malout. He pursued his Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) from Government College of Physical Education in Patiala in 1973. He later pursued his Master's in Physical Education and met his wife during his time in college.
From a young age, Gurdas Maan showed a keen interest in music and mimicry, laying the foundation for his successful career in the entertainment industry.
