Vaishali Mhade is an Indian singer known for her participation and victory in Zee TV's reality series, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009. She was born on August 21, 1984, in Hinganghat, Vidarbha, Maharashtra, India. Vaishali primarily sings in the Marathi language.
In Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009, Vaishali Mhade reached the top 3 along with Soumen Nandi and Yashita Yashpal Sharma. Due to her substantial fan following across India, she emerged as the winner of the competition. As a result, she received a Rs 50-lakh music contract with Zee TV, a Hyundai i10 car, and an LCD TV. Throughout the show, she showcased her versatility and consistency as a singer. She was a part of Himesh Reshammiya's "Rock Gharana." Prior to this, she had also won the Marathi version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2008.
Apart from her success in reality shows, Vaishali Mhade has pursued a career in the music industry. She has sung the title track for the Marathi daily soap "Kulvadhu" on Zee Marathi. Additionally, she lent her vocals to Shridhar Phadke's album "Sangeet Manmohee Re." She was a special invitee at the 2009 Nagpur International Marathon, where she shared the stage with Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra.
In Bollywood, Vaishali made her singing debut with the song "Hum Tum" in the movie "Damadamm!" (2011), which was a duet with Himesh Reshammiya. She has also performed on the live TV show "Lord Buddha." Notably, she provided playback vocals for the popular duet song "Pinga" along with Shreya Ghoshal in the movie "Bajirao Mastani" (2015), which features Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. She also sang "Fitoori" in the same film. Vaishali has also sung the title tracks for Marathi TV shows like "Honar Sun Me Ya Gharchi" and "Mazya Navryachi Baayko." She recently collaborated with Shreya Ghoshal for the song "Ghar More Pardesiya" in the movie "Kalank."
Vaishali Mhade participated as a celebrity contestant in the Marathi singing reality show "Sur Nava Dhyas Nava." However, she decided to quit the show on February 21, 2018, to pursue her Ph.D. and M.Phil studies.
