Raghavendra, being a renowned playback singer, actor, and composer, and her mother, Sulochana, also being a singer. Kalpana's musical journey began at a very young age, and she started her career as a playback singer when she was just five years old.
Kalpana gained prominence in the music industry through her participation in various singing competitions and reality shows. In 2010, she emerged as the winner of Star Singer Season 5, a popular south Indian singing show conducted by the Malayalam TV channel Asianet.
