Bhoomi Trivedi is an Indian singer known for her notable contributions to the Hindi film industry. She hails from a musical family in Vadodara, Gujarat. Bhoomi developed a passion for music from a young age and began her musical journey while she was in the 8th grade. Her father, who is an employee of the Railways, has a keen interest in singing, while her mother is a folk singer with her own music group. Bhoomi's elder sister is an engineer and a trained Bharata Natyam dancer.
In 2007, Bhoomi Trivedi auditioned for the reality show Indian Idol 3 but had to quit due to jaundice. The following year, she auditioned again for Indian Idol 4 but had to leave the show due to the unfortunate demise of her aunt from breast cancer. However, she made a comeback in Indian Idol 5 and finished as the runner-up. During her audition, she impressed the judges by singing a mix of the Gujarati portion of the rap song "Blood Brothers" by Karmacy and "Wannabe" by Spice Girls.
Bhoomi's Bollywood career began with the 2012 film Prem Mayee, where she sang the song "Bahne Dey." However, she gained widespread recognition and fame with her rendition of the song "Ram Chahe Leela" in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela, featuring Priyanka Chopra. Initially approached to pen Gujarati lyrics and sing a part of a song, Bhoomi impressed Bhansali with her unique voice, leading to her prominent role in the film's soundtrack. Her rendition in "Ram Chahe Leela" received praise from both the audience and critics.
Apart from her Bollywood songs, Bhoomi Trivedi has also recorded songs for various Gujarati films. Notably, she recorded the song "Vaagyo Re Dhol" for the national award-winning film Hellaro. Her versatile singing skills and powerful vocals have earned her accolades and recognition in the music industry.
