Chef Manjunath Mural, born on 10 May 1973, is a renowned executive chef known for his expertise in modern Indian cuisine. He currently holds the position of executive chef at The Song of India restaurant in Singapore, where he has garnered accolades and recognition for his culinary skills.
After completing his studies, Mural returned to Mumbai, India, where his passion for cooking led him to join The Resort, a prestigious five-star hotel located in Madh Island. His dedication and perseverance allowed him to secure better opportunities, and he was selected as a management trainee in the kitchen at the Centaur Hotel, situated on Juhu Beach in Mumbai. During his management program, Mural had the privilege of working with renowned master chef Sanjeev Kapoor and celebrity chef Milind Sovani, further enhancing his culinary knowledge and skills.
As he continued to specialize in Indian cuisine, Mural served as a chef de partie, working in the main kitchen and banquets. His talent and dedication earned him the opportunity to be in charge of Pakhtoon, a northern Indian specialty restaurant, where he successfully managed the kitchen operations.
Mural's culinary contributions extend beyond the kitchen as well. He assisted and contributed to the renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor's recipe book, "Sanjeev Kapoor's Khana Khazana: Celebration of Indian Cookery," showcasing his expertise and creativity in Indian cuisine.
Prior to his current role at The Song of India, Chef Manjunath Mural worked at Sahara Amby Valley before joining The Retreat, a five-star hotel located on Madh Island, as a sous chef.
