Vikas Krishan Yadav, known as Vikas Krishan, is an Indian professional boxer who competes in the middleweight and welterweight divisions. He was born on February 10, 1992, in Hisar, Haryana, India. Vikas Krishan has made significant contributions to Indian boxing and has represented the country in various national and international competitions.
Vikas Krishan had a successful amateur career before transitioning to the professional boxing circuit. He won a bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in the lightweight category, becoming the first Indian male boxer to achieve this feat. He also won gold medals in the 2010 and 2018 Asian Games, further establishing his prowess in the sport.
Krishan represented India at the 2012 London Olympics, competing in the welterweight division. He reached the quarterfinals and narrowly missed out on a medal, losing a close bout to the eventual gold medalist.
