Taaruk Raina is an Indian actor, singer, songwriter, and composer. He started his career as Aditya Chopra's assistant at Yash Raj Films, working on the film "Befikre" in 2015. He then ventured into theater and played the lead character in an Indian adaptation of Disney's "Aladdin" in 2018, showcasing his acting and singing skills in front of a live audience.
In 2018, Raina made his film debut with "High Jack" and subsequently appeared in ZEE5's "Dhumrapaan" and "Kaand" in 2019. In February 2020, he starred in MX Player's relationship drama "Pawan & Pooja" as the character Pawan. He also featured in the short film "Purple" in June 2020.
From November 2020, Taaruk Raina portrayed the character Anmol Malhotra in the Netflix teenage romantic drama "Mismatched." He not only acted in the series but also contributed two songs to its soundtrack. He further appeared in the music video "Sukoon" by Sony Music India, featuring himself opposite Aisha Ahmed.
In 2021, Raina appeared in the Netflix mini-series "Aryan & Meera" as the character Aryan, starring alongside Zayn Marie Khan. In 2022, he was seen in ZEE5's "The Broken News" and Amazon Prime Video's "Jugaadistan." He also played Rishi Kapoor's son, Vinayak Sharma, in the film "Sharmaji Namkeen."
