Sharib Hashmi is an Indian actor, writer, producer, and director known for his work in Hindi cinema. He was born on January 25, 1976, in Malad, Mumbai, into a middle-class family. His father, Z. A. Johar, was a renowned film journalist. Hashmi completed his schooling from St. John's Model English High School and graduated from Bhavan's College in Mumbai.
In his early career, Hashmi worked behind the scenes in MTV Roadies Season 2. He gained recognition for his role in the critically acclaimed film "Slumdog Millionaire" in 2008, which went on to win multiple Oscars.
One of Hashmi's notable performances came in the film "Filmistaan" in 2012, where he played a major role alongside Inaamulhaq and Kumud Mishra. He also appeared in a supporting role in the film "Jab Tak Hai Jaan," which starred Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, and Katrina Kaif.
