Ivan Rodrigues is a multi-talented individual with a diverse career spanning theatre, films, web series, voice acting, hosting, and conducting workshops. Born on November 23, 1968, in Mumbai, India, Ivan's parents were originally from Mangalore, Karnataka, before they settled in Mumbai.
Education played a crucial role in Ivan's journey. He showed early interest in acting and participated in school and parish plays during his school days. Ivan's passion for acting continued to grow, and he made his professional theatre debut with the musical "Godspell," directed by Joel Furtado and staged by St. Michael's Parish, Mahim.
Academically, Ivan completed his SSC from St. Michael's High School, Mahim, in 1984, where he secured the second position in his school. He then pursued Commerce at Sydenham College, graduating in 1989. Later, in 1991, he obtained his MBA in Marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research.
Ivan initially worked for 19 years as a senior marketing professional in the corporate world. However, in 2009, he decided to follow his true passion for acting and transitioned to pursue it full-time.
Theatre played a significant role in Ivan's acting career. He showcased his talent and received acclaim for his performances in various theatre productions. Notably, he acted in plays such as "The Chairs" by Eugène Ionesco, "Krapp's Last Tape" by Samuel Beckett, "Final Solutions" by Mahesh Dattani, "Animal Farm" (a musical play based on George Orwell's novel), and more.
In addition to his theatre work, Ivan ventured into the film industry, appearing in several Bollywood films since 2013.
