Abhimanyu Dassani is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi films. He was born on 21 February 1990 and is the son of actress Bhagyashree and Himalay. Abhimanyu made his acting debut in 2018 with the action film "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota," which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Originally from Mumbai, Abhimanyu started his career as an assistant to director Rohan Sippy on films like "Dum Maaro Dum" and "Nautanki Saala!" He pursued his studies at the New York Film Academy and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Additionally, Abhimanyu is trained in martial arts, including taekwondo and karate.

His breakthrough came with Vasan Bala's action-comedy "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota," which premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and won the People's Choice Award: Midnight Madness. Abhimanyu performed his stunts in the film and dedicated time to immerse himself in classic action films. Despite sustaining injuries during filming, his performance received praise, with critics noting his screen presence and suitability for the role.

In 2021, Abhimanyu played the male lead in the romantic comedy "Meenakshi Sundareshwar" opposite Sanya Malhotra, which was released on Netflix. The film faced criticism for its stereotypical portrayal of Tamil people.

Abhimanyu Dassani starred in the 2022 action film "Nikamma" alongside Shilpa Shetty and Shirley Setia. He is also set to appear in the upcoming comedy-drama "Aankh Micholi" with an ensemble cast including Mrunal Thakur and others.
