Yukta Mookhey is an Indian actress, model, and beauty queen. She was born on October 7, 1977, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Yukta gained fame after winning the Miss World pageant in 1999.
Yukta Mookhey began her journey in the world of beauty pageants by participating in the Miss India contest in 1999, where she emerged as the winner. Subsequently, she represented India at the Miss World competition held in London the same year and won the coveted title of Miss World.
After her win, Yukta Mookhey ventured into acting and made her Bollywood debut in 2001 with the film "Pyaasa." She went on to act in a few more Hindi films, including "Love in Japan" (2006) and "Memsahab" (2008). However, her acting career did not achieve significant success, and she eventually took a break from the film industry.
Yukta Mookhey faced personal and legal challenges in the years that followed. In 2013, she filed a complaint against her husband alleging domestic violence and harassment. The couple later divorced in 2014.
