Rimpy Kaur "Mahie" Gill is an accomplished Indian actress known for her work in both Hindi and Punjabi films. She was born on December 19, 1975, into a Punjabi Jat Sikh family in Chandigarh.

Mahie Gill began her career in the entertainment industry with Punjabi films before making her Bollywood debut in Anurag Kashyap's critically acclaimed movie "Dev.D." Her portrayal of Paro in this modern adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's "Devdas" earned her widespread recognition and acclaim, and she even won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress in 2010 for her exceptional performance.

After her breakthrough in "Dev.D," Mahie Gill continued to impress audiences with her acting prowess. She gained further recognition for her role as Madhavi Devi, a sexually frustrated wife, in the films "Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster" and its sequel "Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns."
